Celebrating World Wildlife Day
Michelle Parkes ·
We share our beautiful planet with over 7 million known species of animal and almost 400,000 species of plants. Sadly every day up to 150 species are lost for good. This is greater than anything the world has experienced since the time of the dinosaurs, nearly 65 million years ago.
Every year on 3rd March we celebrate UN World Wildlife Day. It’s a great opportunity to pay tribute to all the amazing ecosystems, animals, birds, insects and fauna that make this such a vibrant planet. From a pygmy monkey that can nestle in the palm of your hand, to the awe inspiring blue whales cutting through the waves, to expansive rainforests sustaining a multitude of life.

At Earth Cubs we want to inspire awe and wonder in the natural world. Encourage the younger generations to learn, explore and discover new environments. We want to create the next generation of global citizens who will look after this amazing Earth and all that live upon it.
How can you get involved?

- Find out how you can help preserve them. Maybe check out your local council website to see what projects you could help with
- Share your knowledge with your friends and family
- Why not draw a picture and get an adult to upload it to social media with #WorldWildlifeDay
- Donate money or time to local conservation projects
