Parrot Parrot!

It's time to start, so here we go. Earth Cubs. Earth Cubs. Earth Cubs. Earth Cubs. Welcome to Earth Cubs.
Oi, oi, Earth Cubs, it's me, Geezer Rat, and today we have got an eggs-tra special show for you. What? Yeah, it's all about Easter eggs and chocolate. Yummy. Mm, I love chocolate. Pinky, do you know where chocolate actually comes from? The shops? Not quite. Chocolate actually comes from nature. It starts as cacao beans that grow on trees in warm places like South America and Africa. Wait, chocolate comes from a tree? So can I plant a chocolate tree in my garden? Not exactly, mate. The beans have to be picked, dried, and turned into chocolate. It's a whole process.
Here's the cool bit. We can make smart choccy choices by picking fair trade chocolate. That means the farmers who grow the cacao get treated fairly, and it's better for the planet. Hi. Fair trade, sounds like a sweet deal. Get it? Sweet 'cause chocolate. Oh. It's time for a song.
Chocolate, chocolate, yum, yum, yum. From the trees to your tum, tum, tum. Chocolate, chocolate, yum, yum, yum. From the trees to your tum, tum, tum.
Cacao trees grow big and tall. In the sun, they need it all. Farmers pick the pods with care. Inside, chocolate's hiding there.
Chocolate, chocolate, yum, yum, yum. From the trees to your tum, tum, tum. Chocolate, chocolate, yum, yum, yum. From the trees to your tum, tum, tum.
Fair trade chocolate is the way. It helps the farmers every day. Pay them fairly, that's the key. And look out for their family.
Chocolate, chocolate, yum, yum, yum. From the trees to your tum, tum, tum. Chocolate, chocolate, yum, yum, yum. From the trees to your tum, tum, tum.
Easter eggs with less waste. Wrapped in foil, what a taste. Ditch the plastic, go for good. Help the planet like we should.
Chocolate, chocolate, yum, yum, yum. From the trees to your tum, tum, tum. Chocolate, chocolate, yum, yum, yum. From the trees to your tum, tum, tum.
I tell you what, Linda, that song has really made me want some chocolate. Me too. But first, the Good News Report.
Welcome to the Earth Cubs Good News Report. Today's top story, how fair trade chocolate is helping farmers and the planet. Over to Antonio the Anteater in Brazil.
Hola, amigos. Did you know that cacao beans, what chocolate is made from, grow inside big pods on trees? Farmers work super hard to grow and harvest them. But not all farmers get paid fairly for their work. That is where fair trade comes in. Fair trade chocolate means farmers get a fair wage, better working conditions, and can take care of their families. Plus, fair trade farming helps protect the rainforest by using eco-friendly methods. So next time you pick up an Easter egg, look for the fair trade logo. It's a little label that makes a big difference.
Ooh, I love this part. Hit me with some cool chocolate facts. Did You Know with me, the Geezer Rat. And me, his cousin, Pinky. Did you know the biggest Easter egg ever made was over 10 meters tall and weighed as much as an elephant? Did you know white chocolate and dark chocolate are made from the same cacao beans? Dark chocolate just has more cacao and less milk. Wow, that is mind-blowing. But now I really want some chocolate. Last time you had chocolate, Pinky, you danced for three days straight. Hey, I'm the Super Slow Sloth. Now let's see how you can get involved at home. Small actions make a big difference. Yee-haw. Do good dares.
Howdy, Earth Cubs. Wayne the Worm here, and I dare you, I double dare you, pick an Easter egg with no plastic packaging. Ooh, and I also dare you to look for the fair trade logo on your chocolate. And if you're feeling really brave, try making your own chocolate at home with your family. Yee-haw.
Squawk, squawk, squawk. Joke alert. Squawk. What do you call a rabbit who tells jokes? A funny bunny. Why don't chocolate eggs ever tell jokes? Because they might crack up. So Earth Cubs, remember, try and choose fair trade chocolate whenever you can, and have an eggs-tra special day. Yeah, and don't forget to do your do good dares and tell your friends some funny egg jokes. See you next time, Earth Cubs, for more planet-saving fun.
