It's time to start, so here we go. Earth Cubs. Earth Cubs. Earth Cubs. Earth Cubs. Welcome to Earth Cubs.
Gather round everybody, it's time to rap about something we all do, so let's make it slap. From the jungle to the city, it's a universal truth. Animals, plants, and people, we all have to poo. P-O-O. Yeah, it's true. Everybody does it, even me and you. Animals, plants, and people too. We all need poo.
In the deep blue sea where the fishes swim, even sharks gotta go. It's not a sin. Whales drop a load that's a mighty size. Poo in the ocean, what a wild surprise. P-O-O. Yeah, it's true. Everybody does it, even me and you. Animals, plants, and people too. We all need poo.
Plants in the ground, they're feeling fine. Thanks for the poo. It's the perfect sign. They soak it up like a nutrient feast, helping them grow from the west to the east. So here's the story. Let's make it clear. Poo connects us all. No need to fear. Animals, plants, and people, we're in this crew. Keep it funny, keep it real, and do that poo.
Bom dia. My name is Antonio the Anteater, and welcome to my home, the Amazon Rainforest in Brazil. The trees here are home to loads of amazing animals. Jaguars, ants, parrots, really, really, really cool anteaters. We also have sloths, like my good friend, the super slow sloth. Like my good friend, the super slow sloth. Like my good friend, the super slow sloth.
Whoa. Sorry, dude. I was having an awesome dream. I was the fastest sloth on the planet. Anyway, I'm glad you've woken me up. It's time for my once a week poo.
Wait, what? You only poo once a week?
Yeah, dude. My poo is kind of important. Very important poo. You see, my fur is not only awesome and keeps me warm, my fur is also home for moths. That's right. They live on my back. And guess what? Those guys need my poo. When I crawl down to do my weekly business, the moths who live in my fur fly out and lay their eggs in my poo, the perfect place for them to hatch and feed. When they're ready, they fly back up into the tree and find another mobile home sloth to live on, and the whole process starts again. What a totally awesome, crazy, weird family we all are. All in one tree, all on one animal. Poo keeps us all connected. Super poo.
Poo isn't just great at helping animals. It also has other poo powers. Poo creates something called biogas. Biogas is absolutely awesome and is a renewable energy source. That means it's good for the planet. Biogas can be used for cooking, heating, electricity, and even power some cars.
True or poo? True or poo? Hmm. Howler monkeys throw their poo. True. Howler monkeys throw their poo to show dominance.
True or poo? Hmm. Flies taste with their feet. True. Flies do taste with their feet. They have taste receptors on their feet which helps them find food. Yippee.
True or poo? Hmm. Sloths poo every day. Poo. Sloths have very slow metabolism, so only come down from their tree once a week to do their business. P-O-O. Yeah, it's true. Everybody does it, even me and you.
Oh, hello again, Earth Cubs. Who knew all those amazing things about poo, eh? Even if you don't have a nose like mine, we can all agree poo is pretty awesome. It's not just stinky stuff. It is a really important part of life in the rainforest and all over the world. If you eat, you poo. Helping you live and be healthy. Animal poo really helps soil and the ground. The nutrients and goodness is great for plants and trees to grow. Poo is nature's way of keeping everything balanced, growing, and awesome.
Oh, poo, you really are an important part of life.
I am actually incredibly important.
Okay, see you next time, Earth Cubs, and let's have another singalong. Down in the rainforest, animals, creatures, bugs. From giant hairy anteaters to tiny little slugs. Down in the rainforest, so much to see and do. Watch out for the sloth. He's coming down to poo. Earth Cubs, learn the world.
