Go Green this Christmas!

Michelle Parkes ·

PiXL know that children and young people are understandably concerned about the impact of climate change. The PiXL Go Green project aims to help schools to provide pupils with the tools, knowledge and understanding to speak up and bring about real change in the face of environmental challenges.

By collaborating with organisations - including Earth Cubs and the Environment Agency - they provide materials to support schools in addressing issues relating to climate change and sustainability, including knowledge-rich stimulus sheets, a Go Green reading spine (with teaching materials to accompany a selection of the books) as well as a wealth of resources to support oracy and debate.

With Christmas almost upon us, PiXL have released the Go Green Christmas Challenge which offers fun ways for children and their families to have a very happy but more sustainable festive period. We are encouraging as many children and young people as possible to take part by ticking off the activities as they complete them and then sharing their sustainable successes with their classes when they return to school in the New Year.

Join in by downloading the challenge sheet below and help your pupils to Go Green this Christmas!
