It's time to start, so here we go. Earth Cubs. Earth Cubs. Earth Cubs. Earth Cubs. Welcome to Earth Cubs.
Well, hello, Earth Cubs. It's me, the Quiz Jaguar. Today, we're heading deep into a truly amazing place: the rainforest. Squawk. It's loud, it's wild, and it's bursting with life. Just like me. Did you know the rainforest is also like a giant natural medicine cabinet? Squawk. So, you're saying trees are like doctors?
Not quite, Party Parrot, but pretty close. The rainforest is packed with special plants that help make real life medicines. Medicines that help people when they're sick, fix broken bones, and even fight diseases. Squawk. So if I get a sore beak, the rainforest has me covered?
Wowzers. Scientists are still discovering new cures hidden in the jungle. Who knows what life-saving medicine could be found next? It could be growing right now under a giant leaf or up high in those trees. Squawk. Maybe there's a plant that makes me even more fabulous.
That would be impossible, Party Parrot. You're already at maximum fabulousness. But all of this is why we need to protect the rainforest. It helps us all now and in the future.
Deep in the jungle, big and tall. Magic plants help one and all. Leaves and roots and bark and seeds. Make the medicines that we need. Rainforest medicine. Helping us feel good again. Rainforest medicine. Helping us feel good again.
Coughs and sneezes, cuts and bites. Rainforest plants bring big delights. Pain relief and healing cream. Nature's magic, just like a dream. Rainforest medicine. Helping us feel good again. Rainforest medicine. Helping us feel good again.
Deep in the jungle, green and wild. Nature's lab is running wild. Scientists search, test and see. What the next big cure could be. Rainforest medicine. Helping us feel good again. Rainforest medicine. Helping us feel good again.
Ooh, I love that song so much. Yeah, I wanna go dancing.
Quiz time with me, the Quiz Jaguar. What do scientists use from the rainforest to make medicine? A, tree bark, or B, chocolate? Three, two, one. The answer is A, tree bark. Some trees have special chemicals inside that help people fight diseases.
What do people call the rainforest because of its healing plants? A, nature's medicine cabinet, or B, the jungle gym? Three, two, one. The answer is A. The rainforest is packed with plants that can help humans heal. Great job, Earth Cubs. You're as sharp as a jungle thorn.
Um, I'm not very good at quizzes.
Did You Know with me, the Geezer Rat. And me, his cousin Pinky. Did you know the trees in the rainforest grow huge? Some can be over 200 feet tall. That's taller than a skyscraper. Whoa. Imagine trying to climb that. I'd need a snack break halfway up.
Pinky, you know you're scared of heights. Did you know the poison dart frog might be tiny, but scientists are studying its skin to make powerful new painkillers to help humans?
Did you know there are thousands of plants in the rainforest that scientists haven't even discovered yet? Some might hold cures for diseases we don't even know about. Do you think the rainforest might have something that can help with my rash?
Yeah, that definitely needs looking at, mate. Can we play the song again? I mean, look at me. I am beautiful.
