- Glass jar
- Wooden spoon
- 4 pots
- Mud
- Sticks
- Leaves
- Grass
- Moss
Show children a jar.
Tell them you are going to mix up a rainforest cake.

Explain that the ingredients will be the layers.

Show 4 pots with different natural ingredients.
Each layer of the rainforest forms a habitat for a different group of plants and animals.

Discuss each layer and whilst adding the ingredients into the jar.
