Make a Static Spinner
You will need
- Pencil
- Paper
- Blu-tac
- Ruler
Gather your materials!

Fold your paper
Fold diagonally one way, then repeat the fold in the other direction.
This creates a point in the centre.

Push your pencil into a ball of blu-tac
Make sure to stick this up on a flat surface so the pencil can stand on it's own.

Balance your paper on top of your pencil

Rub a ruler on your top, then hold your ruler near the paper to see it spin!
Rubbing the ruler produces static electricity, which moves the paper.
