Earth Cubs and Zellar team up to help schools turn climate education into climate action

Michelle Parkes ·

Earth Cubs has joined forces with smart sustainability company Zellar, to help educate UK schools about climate change and then take vital direct action towards tackling it. By joining forces, Earth Cubs and Zellar will help more schools to take climate action and save money today – with plans to co-develop future services to engage, educate and inspire a generation of children.

Zellar Schools programme helps schools meet the DfE requirements for reporting emissions and creating a comprehensive climate action plan. The platform is full of sustainability projects to engage pupils, teachers and parents to drive their schools Net Zero progress forward. By focusing on reducing energy, water and waste, schools on Zellar can save £4,923 in costs and 3.2 tonnes of CO2 each in their first year.

Toby Hunt, CEO of Earth Cubs, said:

‘‘We are so excited at Earth Cubs to partner up with the incredible Zellar. Their sustainability platform allows schools to bring sustainability to the forefront as well as reduce the costs their schools incur. Integrating environmental education into Zellar's platform ensures that schools are ahead of the curve on the march to Net Zero.’’

Gary Styles, CEO and founder of Zellar, commented:

‘’We absolute love what Earth Cubs is doing to teach children, teachers and parents about sustainability, climate change and the environment. As soon as we saw their platform we knew it was a perfect fit. We very much look forward to welcoming their school members on to our platform and vice versa. The programme has already proven to pay for itself with the potential to deliver thousands of pounds of savings across energy, water and waste.’’

Earth Cub members can sign up to Zellar Schools for £200 per school, per year.
