It's time to start, so here we go. Earth Cubs. Earth Cubs. Earth Cubs. Earth Cubs. Welcome to Earth Cubs.
Well, hello there, Earth Cubs. It's me, Wilfred Walrus, your friendly ocean explorer. Today, we're diving deep into a big problem, plastic pollution. Our oceans are getting clogged up with rubbish. But don't worry. We've got some amazing ocean heroes cleaning up the mess. From giant floating vacuums to robots that eat plastic, let's meet the ocean cleanup crew. But first, a song.
Clean it up, clean it up. Let's keep our ocean blue. Everybody loves the ocean, fish and dolphins too. Clean it up, clean it up. Let's keep our ocean blue. Everybody helping out keeps it clean and new.
The ocean is amazing, big and wide and deep. Home to whales and turtles, and secrets it can keep. When there's plastic floating, it makes them sad and sick, so let's all work together and clean it up real quick.
Clean it up, clean it up. Let's keep our ocean blue. Everybody loves the ocean, fish and dolphins too. Clean it up, clean it up. Let's keep our ocean blue. Everybody helping out keeps it clean and new.
Bottles, bags, and wrappers don't belong out there. They tangle up the turtles. It really isn't fair. We could use this plastic. Pick up what we see. A cleanup, brighter ocean starts with you and me. Go.
Clean it up, clean it up. Let's keep our ocean blue. Everybody loves the ocean, fish and dolphins too. Clean it up, clean it up. Let's keep our ocean blue. Everybody helping out keeps it clean and new.
That tune was a proper banger. Makes me wanna grab a litter picker and get to work. We can all do our bit by putting any plastic in the bin wherever we go. Wowzer trousers, Earth Cubs. Just look at our incredible ocean. It's big, beautiful, and full of life. Did you know that the ocean covers more than 70% of our planet? Oh, I love the ocean. It's like one giant splashing water paradise. That's right, Nigel. A clean, healthy ocean is super important for all of us. The water stays clear, the coral stays colorful, and the sea animals can swim, play, and explore happily. Wow, the ocean is like one big amazing playground. It really is. And when we take care of it, we take care of each other, too. A clean ocean means fresh air, safe food, and a happy home for sea creatures. That's why it's important to keep plastic out of the water. Every little action, like recycling, picking up litter, helps keep the ocean sparkling and full of life. I'm off to clean the ocean. Oh, wait. I don't like getting wet. Oh, Pinky. Let's check out the Good News Report instead.
Welcome back to the Earth Cubs Good News Report, where we bring you amazing stories about people and inventions that help the planet. Today's big story, a robot that eats plastic. A robot that eats plastic? Has it got teeth? Don't worry, Nigel the nervous narwhal. This robot doesn't bite, but it sucks up plastic like an ocean vacuum. It floats around, collecting rubbish through a special opening. Kind of like a hungry fish. I'm hungry all the time. Once plastic goes inside, something amazing happens. The robot chops up the plastic into tiny pieces. Then, special bacteria breaks it down and turns it into energy, which powers the robot to keep going. Wait. So the robot eats plastic and turns it into power? Exactly. And the best part, these robots can work 24 hours a day, keeping our oceans clean. What an awesome planet-saving invention. Oh, I once found a bottle with a message inside. It said, "Please put me in the bin." Anyway, time for a quiz.
Quiz time with me, the Quiz Jaguar. What can we use to clean up the ocean? A, a floating robot vacuum, or B, a giant spoon? Three, two, one. The answer is A. These awesome vacuums scoop up plastic before it harms sea creatures. What happens to the plastic after the robot eats it? A, it gets turned into energy to power the robot more, or B, it disappears by magic? Three, two, one. The answer is A. The robot chops up the plastic and mixes with special bacteria to help turn it into good energy. That's some big impact, Earth Cubs. Nice work. Are you looking at me? Yes, you. Are you looking at me? Yeehaw. Do good dares.
It's time for a do good dare, where you get to help make the world a better place. Here's your challenge, Earth Cubs. Organize a plastic cleanup mission. Grab a grown-up, a pair of gloves, and a bag, and head to a local park or a beach or even your street and see how much plastic you can collect. Every little piece you pick up helps stop it from reaching the ocean. You can even make it into a game. See who can collect the most plastic. High five, Earth Cubs. Oh, wait. I don't have hands. But you do, so get out there and make a difference.
Thanks for watching, Earth Cubs, and learning how to look after the ocean. Remember, small actions make a big difference. Keep our oceans clean and plastic free. See you soon for our next adventure, and let's hear that song again.
