Rainforests Around the World

Let’s take a look at rainforests around the world!

How many of these words do you know?

Can you find out their meanings?

Why are rainforests found near the Equator?

Rainforests are found near the equator, the imaginary line around the middle of the Earth!

This climate is perfect for plants to grow quickly.

Here they get enough rain and sun!

The sunlight is converted to energy by plants through the process of photosynthesis.

Plants compete for sunlight, and grow quickly to reach it.

Rainforests provide places for plants to grow and animals to live.

It is a source of food, shelter, and is an amazing habitat for many species of animals!

Rainforests are all over the world!

They can be found inland and even at the coast.
