“Earth Cubs”, “we”, “us” and/or “our” means Earth Cubs Limited (registered number 11900069). Our registered office is Broom Cottage, Chillies Lane, Crowborough, East Sussex, TN6 3TB, United Kingdom. You can contact us any time at help@earthcubs.com.
This policy applies to earthcubs.com and the Earth Cubs mobile app (together, “our Services”). It explains what information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices and rights you and your family have. Earth Cubs is made for children aged 3–7, so we have written this policy to meet the requirements of the UK GDPR, the ICO’s Age Appropriate Design Code, and the US Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).
Accounts can only be created by adults. When you sign up we collect your name, email address, country, and whether you are joining as a parent or an educator. If you subscribe, we also receive your subscription status and purchase history from the app stores and our billing provider — we never see your full payment card details.
Parents and guardians can create a profile (a “cub”) for each child. A cub has a first name or nickname chosen by the parent, an optional birth month and year (used to celebrate birthdays and tailor age-appropriate content), and a cartoon avatar. As your child uses the app we record their in-app activity — such as videos watched, environments explored and stars or badges earned — so that their progress and rewards work. We never ask children for contact details, photos, voice recordings or location, and there is no chat, messaging or social feature anywhere in Earth Cubs.
You can use the free parts of the app without creating an account. In that case we collect only the technical information and app analytics described in this policy, plus the details of any Earth Cubs link you opened the app from (such as the campaign it belongs to), so we know how people find us. Colouring pictures made while signed out are saved only on your device; if someone then signs in on that device, those pictures are added to their account. If you buy Earth Cubs+ without an account, our subscription provider (RevenueCat) gives your purchase an anonymous identifier, linked to your Apple or Google account rather than to you, so it can be restored on your devices. If you later sign in or create an account, that purchase is linked to your account.
When the app or website is used we automatically collect limited technical information, such as device model, operating system version and app version. If you allow notifications, the app also stores a push notification token for your device so we can send them. We use this information to fix problems, deliver notifications and understand how our Services are used.
Performance of our contract with you and your consent are the legal bases under which we process your information. You may withdraw your consent at any time by contacting us at help@earthcubs.com.
We never sell personal information, we show no advertising, and we do not disclose children’s personal information to third parties for marketing or profiling of any kind. We use a small number of carefully chosen service providers to run Earth Cubs. They may only process information on our instructions and must keep it confidential and secure:
We may also disclose information if we are under a legal duty to do so, or if our business or substantially all of our assets are acquired by a third party, in which case this policy will continue to apply to your information.
Earth Cubs is designed for children aged 3–7, and we collect as little information about children as we can. Children cannot create accounts: only an adult can sign up, create or edit a child’s profile, or make purchases, and these areas sit behind an adults-only gate in the app. By creating a profile for your child, you consent to the collection and use of that child’s information as described in this policy.
As a parent or guardian you can, at any time: review the information we hold about your child; have it corrected or deleted; or refuse to permit any further collection. You can manage and delete child profiles directly in the app, or contact us at help@earthcubs.com and we will help. We may first ask you to verify that you are the child’s parent or guardian.
The Unity game engine used in the Earth Cubs app implements an interface on Android that can request a device’s Android Device ID and Advertising ID (AAID). We do not use these interfaces, and we have confirmed through testing that this data never leaves your device.

The data that we collect from you may be transferred to, and stored at, a destination outside the UK and the European Economic Area. When this happens we take steps to ensure your information receives an equivalent level of protection, and that it is treated securely and in accordance with this privacy policy and applicable data protection laws.
We keep your information only for as long as you have an account with us. You can delete your account at any time from the Account section of the app, or by emailing help@earthcubs.com.
When you delete your account we permanently delete your profile information and login details, your children’s profiles and their activity history, and we remove you from our email lists and our billing provider’s records. If a child’s profile is shared with another parent or guardian who still has an active account, that profile stays with them and only your access is removed — it is deleted in full when the last linked account is deleted.
Data protection laws give you the right to access the information we hold about you and your children, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to our use of it, and to withdraw any consent you have given. To exercise any of these rights, email help@earthcubs.com. We may ask you to verify your identity before we act on a request.
We have put in place appropriate security measures to prevent your personal information from being accidentally lost, used or accessed in an unauthorised way. Third parties only process your information on our instructions and where they have agreed to keep it confidential and secure. We have procedures to deal with any suspected data security breach, and will notify you and the relevant supervisory authority of a suspected breach where we are legally required to do so.
We may change this policy from time to time and will post the latest version on our website. If we ever wish to use your information in a way that is materially different from this policy, we will contact you to get your consent first.
