Special Days to Celebrate Our Planet

The calendar is packed with incredible days, weeks and celebrations dedicated to looking after our planet, its animals and the incredible ecosystems we all depend on. Whether you're planning a school assembly, a classroom activity or just want to make a special date feel extra meaningful, these dates are the perfect peg for learning, celebrating and taking action.

1. Fairtrade Fortnight — February/March

Fairtrade Fortnight is a brilliant two weeks to explore where our food comes from and why paying farmers fairly matters so much.

2. World Wildlife Day — 3 March

From wolves to whales, the world's wildlife is both extraordinary and under threat. World Wildlife Day celebrates the incredible diversity of life on Earth and highlights the importance of conservation.

10. World Bee Day — 20 May
