Earth Cubs Education

Michelle Parkes ·

What is an Earth Cubs Education?

Earth Cubs is award-winning education about the environment, sustainability and climate change! Entertaining videos filled with characters, real world footage, planet saving heroes and positive stories from all over the world to inspire and excite kids.

Climate education is essential to prepare our children for the future. Inspiring and educating the next generation of global citizens is at the heart of Earth Cubs. Research has shown that a high proportion of children are experiencing eco-anxiety.

At Earth Cubs we strike a balance between entertainment, education, real world action and technology, creating a world full of colour, crazy characters and fun, that allows kids to explore environments which are exciting and fun, while tackling challenging environmental subjects in a positive, meaningful way and not spiking eco-anxiety.

Earth Cubs places its foundational focus on five key competencies—Sustainability Literacy, Compassionate Empathy, Systems Thinking, Change Leadership, and Contemplation—as the bedrock for nurturing young minds into conscientious global citizens.

These competencies empower Earth Cubs to fostering a deep understanding of sustainability challenges and the UN's 17 Sustainable Development Goals. While Earth Cubs emphasises these core competencies, it seamlessly integrates with various international curricula such as the UK Curriculum, US Curriculum, and IB Curriculum.

For instance, in alignment with the UK National Curriculum, Earth Cubs covers relevant subject areas specified by the Department for Education, Similarly, Earth Cubs tailors its content to correspond with NGSS topics for the US Curriculum and supports the Primary Years Program (PYP) of the IB Curriculum, ensuring an amalgamation that upholds Earth Cubs' fundamental competencies while integrating seamlessly into diverse international educational frameworks.

This approach equips Earth Cubs with a robust foundation rooted in sustainable global citizenship while accommodating and enhancing learning experiences across various educational systems worldwide.
