UK Art in Nature

Michelle Parkes ·

UK Art in Nature aims to inspire young people to creatively respond to social issues and enable young people to listen to, learn from, & be inspired by the Sisters Grimm/INALA team & collaborators who showcase the strength, innovation & diversity of the arts sector.

The theme for the UK competition is “Hope – Unthinkable change can happen” and the music video featuring the winning art works will be launched on the Sisters Grimm YouTubeSisters Grimm YouTube on May 10th 2024 honouring Nelson Mandela and 30 years since he was inaugurated as the first black president of South Africa following the end of the Apartheid regime.  He was released unconditionally on 11 February 1990, so 33 years ago, after spending 27 years in prison.

Children and young people can create an artwork inspired by their local environment, or envision a fantastical world where nature designs our cities, where we coexist harmoniously with nature’s wonders!

It gives children the opportunity to learn outside their usual environment, supporting mental & physical wellbeing, inclusivity and equality, artistic creative expression and education, quality family connection, raising awareness of environmental and social issues.
